Raeanne and Baruch’s Georgia wedding in Savannah at Old Fort Jackson was such a romantic day! These two came across me on Tik Tok and paid for my travel from Florida to come shoot their wedding! We took some incredible portraits at First Side Park and I’m so happy we connected.
We started the day off in Raeanne’s Airbnb capturing her details and getting ready photos. Her main wedding color was lavender and it was sprinkled all throughout the day, including her getting ready PJ’s. Her mom helped zip her dress, and her grandma put on her veil that she custom made herself.
We then met up with Baruch and his guys along with their family at First Side Park to take some portraits. We captured some family photos early, along with their bridal party photos and some couple portraits. This was right after the couple had a first look to save some time in their day!
We headed to the ceremony and reception space which was at a historic fort called Old Fort Jackson. Raeanne and Baruch are both in the military, so it just made sense for them to choose this Fort for their big day. They had a large cross in between them during their ceremony, a huge field for lots of reception dancing, and a canon firing for their first toast as husband and wife! Their corgi was their ring bearer, and Raeanne’s maid of honor was their officiant. They released butterflies during the ceremony, and one landed on the bride’s dress!
After the canon firing, the bridal parties made their grand entrances and dinner was served. All the first dances were held, and the couple ended the night with lots of dancing!
Historic Wedding Venue in Savannah Georgia
Old Fort Jackson protected Savannah during the War of 1812 during the civil war! But you don’t have to be a history buff to choose this venue. Their staff is extremely helpful, and there is tons of room for seating, games, and dancing! First Side park is only 10 minutes from the venue, and the huge fountain in the center of the park makes for a stunning backdrop for portraits or even a ceremony.
