Preston and Mikaela’s New York wedding on Long Island at the rest Hollow Country Club was such a romantic day! The couple found me on The Knot to take their Florida engagement photos while they were on vacation, and they shortly after asked me to travel to NY for their wedding.

Getting Ready

Mikaela got ready in a nearby hotel with her bridesmaids where we took some PJ pictures of all the girls! Preston got ready at the same hotel but separate from Mikaela with his guys. Once the bridal party was ready, we drove over to Crest Hollow Country Club to take some portraits!

We started with the guys taking a serious and also fun approach to the poses! I always love variety to give a professional and yet happy feel to the wedding day. Mikaela then got zipped up in her dress by her mom and then had a first look with her bridesmaids!

We then went outside to have a private first look with Preston and Mikaela, which is always recommended if you want to enjoy cocktail hour without too many photos (this was REALLY important to Preston). We took some couple photos (more to be continued later in the night) and then the bridal party pics.

The Ceremony

The Pazmino’s ceremony was under an outdoor tent which was heated of course (it was 30 degrees outside!). The large windows let in lots of light for a beautifully lit space.

They had live worship music, lots of prayer, and a candle lighting. Their vows were extremely emotional, I cried which means a lot when I’ve seen so many vows. They then shared their first kiss, and another in the aisle for a stunning photo!

Time to Celebrate

During cocktail hour we took family photos and then a few more couple photos outside. Their ceremony space was huge with lots of room for dancing! The bridal party and couple did their grand entrances and went straight into an open dance floor which hyped all the guests up.

After some more appetizers, the couple then did their first dance which was choreographed! I always suggest this because it gives you a variety of photos instead of just standing and swaying. They had a huge lift which is one of my favorite pics in the album! Preston danced with his mom, and Mikaela danced with her uncle in honor of her father who passed.

The couple also had speeches, a bouquet toss, and cake cutting! They ended the night with a ton of dancing, I couldn’t resist so I was out there with them almost the whole time!
