Sarah and Nathan flew from Ohio to the island of Boca Grande to meet me for their engagement photos in Southwest Florida. This island is full of different locations and scenery perfect for a super diverse photo gallery!
Boca Grande Couple Photos
Nathan and Sarah found me on Instagram while looking for a photographer to take their engagement photos where they first got engaged! Nathan proposed to Sarah on Englewood beach and they wanted their photos to reflect that amazing day. They quickly decided on Boca Grande so they could not only visit the beach, but some architecture and greenery as well.
About Photos at Gasparilla Island Lighthouse in Boca Grande
Boca Grande is one of the most popular photo spots in Southwest Florida, but it is large enough of an island that everyone spreads out! With a lighthouse, rocks, secret garden, old fashioned library, a street full of banyan trees, hundreds of unique homes, and so much more, the possibilities are endless on this stunning island.
Our main focus for this shoot was the rocks at the end of the island as Sarah requested. It was extremely private on this windy day, so we had the rocks completely to ourselves so the couple could sit, walk, and climb all over them. Afterwards, we made out way to the Gasparilla Island Lighthouse on the way off the island. We took some shots with the lighthouse in the distance, and then ended the night with the couple getting wet in the water for an epic sunset dip shot.
To get to this location, put in Boca Grande on your gps. There is a $6 toll to get across the bridge per car. Keep going straight all the way down the island until you reach the end. Here you will see a “park” entrance with a sign, you can park in here and walk onto the beach to see the rocks. The lighthouse is easy, you should pass in about halfway down the island. Park at the parking lot beneath the lighthouse.
